ELECTION DAY 2022 Residents of Minot will have some decisions to make in the primary election on Tuesday, June 14. Local races that will be decided on election day are the Minot Mayor, Minot Municipal Judge, Minot Public School Board (two seats), Minot Park Board (three seats) and Minot City Council (three seats). There is also a challenge in District 3 where three candidates are on the ballot and only two will move onto the general election in November. To help inform voters, the Minot Area Chamber EDC Governmental Affairs Committee held candidate forums with the help of the City of Minot. The forums featured candidates from each of the local races, taking questions from a moderator. Questions were also submitted by an in person and online audience. “This is our way of providing a platform for our member investors and the community to learn more about the candidates,” said Brekka Kramer, Chamber EDC President | CEO. Kramer added, “We are thankful to the City of Minot for allowing us to use the council chambers and the technology to reach a wider audience.” If you weren’t able to tune in live, the recordings of the forums are available on the Minot Area Chamber EDC Facebook page.
