Early Childhood Family Education

ECFE Scan to learn more about Minnetonka ECFE classes

WHAT IS EARLY CHILDHOOD FAMILY EDUCATION? ECFE is based on the idea that parents provide their child's first and most significant learning environment. ECFE works to support you as a parent/caregiver and to strengthen and empower families. The goal is to enhance the ability of all parents and other family members to provide the best possible environments for their child's learning and development. ECFE class tuition is based on a sliding fee scale. MN Department of Education. Early Childhood Family Education. https://education.mn.gov/MDE/fam/elsprog/ECFE/

ECFE classes are taught by teachers who are licensed by the state of Minnesota in early childhood and/or parent education.

Early Childhood Screening | Required before Kindergarten. Best completed at age 3.

20

Early Childhood Screening is a free, simple check of your child’s growth and development. It may detect possible health or learning concerns that can result in help and support before kindergarten. The 60 minute screening process includes: height, weight, vision, hearing, immunization review and motor and cognitive activities. At the end of the screening activities, a teacher reviews the information collected with parents. Early Childhood Screening is not a test; it is a tool to help identify concerns so that children and parents can access important support prior to kindergarten. Register online at bit.ly/ecscreening or scan the QR code.
