A dedicated ASM programme For the first time, Mining Indaba 2027 will host a dedicated half-day programme focused on artisanal and small-scale mining, creating a practical working space for ASM operators, financiers, regulators, offtakers, commodity traders and ecosystem partners.
Dealmakers Den: A Partnership in Practice with 121 Cape Town
Taking place on Thursday 11 February, the programme is designed as more than a single discussion on the wider agenda. It creates a focused block of content that brings the right people into the room to explore how ASM can access more formal finance, secure tenure, responsible markets and structured commercial partnerships. The format combines a short opening plenary, two rounds of parallel workshops and a closing report-back, with each workshop built around a specific practical question.
