Sharper insights. Smarter strategies.
Industry Intels brings the energy through two dynamic programme streams, designed to meet your content and engagement needs:
• Theatre Sessions – presentation-led, big-picture insights
• Roundtable Sessions – interactive, in-depth discussions
Together, they deliver the data, analysis, and strategies governments, investors, and executives need to stay ahead in the evolving mining landscape.
Where ideas meet action.
Now in a larger, purpose-built venue, our workshops offer a more dynamic and welcoming space for collaboration. Designed to encourage stronger interaction, they allow more delegates to share their insights, contribute to the conversation, and engage directly with industry experts. These expanded sessions ensure every voice can help shape solutions to the mining sector’s real challenges.

Defining Africa’s growth.
Continuing last year’s theme, this programme identifies the minerals vital for Africa’s development and the energy transition. From rare earths to battery metals, it highlights policy, investment, and opportunities shaping the continent’s future, taking place on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Connecting Africa to the world.
Due to high demand, this initiative has grown from a single workshop into an expanded half-day programme taking place on Monday afternoon.
It creates a direct pipeline between downstream buyers and African producers — accelerating dealmaking, strengthening supply chains, and forging long-term partnerships.

Partnership Spotlights
Where collaboration meets impact .
Partnership Spotlights shine a powerful light on the connections shaping Africa’s mining future. Through engaging minister-and-CEO fireside dialogues, each session reveals how governments and industry leaders are aligning beyond shared goals: fueling innovation, investment, and inclusive growth across the continent.
Pitstop – New Networking Space
Where deals are brewed.
Pull up a chair, grab a local brew, and let chance encounters turn into business wins.

Investing in African Mining Indaba has never been just an annual gathering; it has become the continent’s most trusted platform for shaping the trajectory of its mining and industrial future. Here, nations do more than present opportunities; they define their investment narrative, demonstrate progress, and connect with global partners essential to turning vision into reality. In this edition, we are proud to spotlight the governments at the forefront of this transformation: countries whose reforms, policies, and partnerships are positioning Africa as a central player in the global economy.
These pages offer only a glimpse of the progress underway. From bold strategies to attract and retain investment, to advancing beneficiation and value addition, our government partners are laying the foundations of a more resilient, competitive, and integrated African mining sector. Indaba continues to be where continental priorities meet international capital and ideas, and where Africa’s mining story is written on the global stage.
I look forward to welcoming you to Cape Town, where these stories come to life and new partnerships are forged.

Angola is opening vast underexplored areas to investment in base metals, critical minerals, and diamonds. Diamond production is set to reach 17.5m carats by 2027, supported by beneficiation and global branding through ENDIAMA and SODIAM. With reforms in infrastructure, skills, and financing, Angola is shaping a sustainable, inclusive mineral economy.

Diamonds remain Botswana’s backbone, with beneficiation creating jobs and skills.
The Debswana JV and Lucara’s Karowe Mine showcase successful PPPs, while diversification into base metals, coal, and critical minerals strengthens resilience. Regional cooperation through SADC further embeds Botswana in a sustainable mineral economy.
Gold continues to anchor Ghana’s economy, while lithium is emerging as a game-changer through the Ewoyaa project. New reforms — including the Gold Bond Act and community revenue-sharing — ensure accountability and inclusivity. Ghana is positioning itself as a leader in both traditional and green minerals.

The Simandou project will deliver Guinea’s first iron ore exports in 2025, supported by major new rail and port infrastructure. Alongside worldleading bauxite reserves, policy reforms are driving local refining and value capture. With ultra-high-grade ore, Guinea is set to become a low-carbon iron supplier to the world.

Home to the Balama Graphite Project, Mozambique is central to the EV supply chain. Gold production adds strength to its mineral mix, while a new mining bill boosts transparency and encourages local processing. Together, these reforms are building resilience and long-term investor confidence.

Gold exploration is booming, while lithium attracts heavy Chinese investment in assets and processing ahead of a 2027 export ban. Challenges in the platinum sector persist, but overall mineral exports grew 27% in early 2025, underscoring Zimbabwe’s promise in value-added mining.
Zambia plans to triple copper output to 3m tonnes by 2031 while expanding into cobalt, nickel, manganese, and lithium. Policy reforms support local processing, value chains, and regional collaboration. Zambia is positioning itself as a major hub for battery materials and clean energy minerals.

South Africa – Innovation & Critical Minerals Leadership
As host of Mining Indaba 2026, South Africa will spotlight its platinum-group metals and critical minerals innovation. With beneficiation, infrastructure readiness, and R&D partnerships, the country is positioning itself as a hub for high-value processing and continental collaboration under the theme: Stronger Together: Progress Through Partnerships.
