Key hardware requirements
Registration process
Review the Minfos ePrescription dispense workflow and update your in-store process.
You will need a minimum of 1 scanner from the below lists.

□ Barcode scanner Honeywell MS7580 Genesis USB 2D Scanner (desktop)
□ Stay informed and connected
□ Handheld scanner Zebra DS4608 (2D scanner)
□ Step 1 Create a PRODA (Provider Digital Access) account □ Step 2 Register for Healthcare Provider Identifier for Organisation (HPI-O) □ Step 3 Get Health Identifier (HI) service enabled in Minfos
Need to check if you have My Health Record (MyHR) or HI Service enabled? If you already have access to My Health Record, you have completed these steps. MyHR/HI Service integration Go to Minfos Dispense Form > MyHR icon.
State and territory legislation ePrescribing in Minfos 5.12.2 will only be enabled for states and territories that have legislated ePrescribing. These are New South Wales, Northern Territory and Victoria, where it is legislated and Minfos has met the states conformance criteria.
Technical requirements □ Comply with Minfos hardware requirements □ Check the reliability of your internet connection with your internet provider
HI Service integration Go to Minfos Dispense > Configuration > Healthcare Identifier.
□ Back-up your store’s Minfos data (e.g. Minfos Cloud Back-up service) □ Select a patient communication tool (e.g. Minfos SMS Connect service)
Prescription Delivery Service (PDS) □ Ensure you are connected to a PDS – eRx or MediSecure
If you need assistance to register, please contact the HI Service on 1300 361 457.
□ If you are receiving scripts without a PDS barcode, contact your PDS provider and advise them of the doctor’s details and they will contact the practice: - eRx - MediSecure

‘Scripts-in’ counter □ Barcode scanner Honeywell MS7580 Genesis USB 2D Scanner (desktop) □ Handheld scanner Zebra DS4608 (2D scanner) □ Desktop scanner Symbol DS9208 (2D scanner) □ Till docket printer Epson TM-T82 or higher, update driver to Epson Advance Printer Driver (update from Generic Text driver)
Check scanner compatibility □ Once you have the right barcode scanner, use this QR code to test your scanners. Open your browser and scan the QR code. If your scanners are configured to read QR codes, the Minfos website will appear. If website does not appear, please contact your hardware provider for assistance.
