I like to follow fashion, high art, emotion, and find inspiration among them. Philosophy, language, and relationships are interesting to me, because they can make people grow. My passion for art goes back all the way to my childhood days, and I am always striving to explore my limits, as well as the way design evokes emotions.

I love fashion and feel that there's no style that should not be worn or flaunted, and video games have been a part of my life since I was a child, Torchlight being one of my first "real" games. My interest in filmography came a while later, heavily influenced by movies and music videos, leading me to create my own films with the help of Premiere Pro. My favourite sports are frisbee, volleyball and various track and field sports which I managed to score some medals in.

PLAN | FIRST DRAFT In my first tracing draft, I felt that I hadn’t really let my mind wander enough and mostly focused on how the collages were literally appearing. I did add in some unseen elements, however they seemed to be quite random with no correlation to the overlapping frames. A visually-pleasing aesthetic work yes, however this challenged myself to dive deeper into my imagination for the final version.
4
PLAN | FINAL After adjusting the frame arrangement slightly, I began to dwelve more into my imagination as I created the final draft plan. I tried to encompass the movement of the clockhands and the passing of time in my tracings. I also paid more attention to the difference in shadow and light at certain areas of overlapping. I feel that the end outcome still slightly resembles an aesthetic piece, however I am much more satisfied with theessence of this drawing and now am able to see a bit more than what is the “seen”.
5 6
SECTIONAL | FIRST DRAFT
SECTIONAL | FINAL After completing the plan drawing, it is of course natural to now construct the sectional! I did try quite hard to visualise the sectional of my plan drawing at first, but it turned out quite different. Similar in some sense but a bit too different. For the final version, I attached the plan drawing to the top of the paper so that I could easily connect and immerse myself in creating the side view of this growing dimension. I’ve learnt more about how to create dynamic and organic forms, rather than “flat” ones. Sectional elements should also be connected to the plan in a more 3-dimensional manner.

T
hus began our journey on creating a world that we had created based off the plan and sectional drawings previously. My world included almost an infinite amount of lines and tubes, as well as giant curving and arching forms breaking the surface and diving under. Due to the sheer amount of tubes, many of them would cross or connect with other forms, creating pathways and mini spaces.
TOP
My first model was still too focused on the bigger details and unsatisfactory due to the limiting variety of materials so I planned to further zoom in on an even smaller joint.
The default interlocking position Interlocking via diamond recess
INTERLOCKING
Similarly to shortening the video length and the hand drawing exercise we did at the beginning, I would now be zooming in on the minuscule details and expand on them.
MODULE B
Moving on, we were now tasked to further our creative process by creating a model of a small detail from The World.

0.1 ABOUT Hyperloop Transportation Technologies firmly believes that transportation should be reinvented. A futuristic pipedream that has been made into reality, Hyperloop TT is leading the world’s most exciting adventure track by track.
GLASS OPENINGS SECOND DRAFT
0.2 THE TEAM Hyperloop TT has established a network of more than 800 highly skilled individuals across five continents with partnerships in universities and corporations. This passion-driven, unstoppable team works across countries, time-zones and disciplines to build towards this future.
0.3 THE HYPERLOOP
SLEEK AND FAST
FORM MAKING
In a size similar to a small commercial aircraft without wings, hyperloop’s pressurized capsules float on a frictionless magnetic cushion within the tubes. With a sleek and metallic appearance, The Hyperloop unit is sure to catch the eye of any passerby and entice them to take at least a step inside this curious-looking space.
The capsules are engineered and designed for ultra-high speeds using cutting-edge composite materials and safety features. HyperloopTT developed a Vibranium™, smart material with sensors embedded between carbon-fiber, fuselage skin to monitor and transmit critical information regarding temperature, stability and integrity, all wirelessly and instantly.
The exterior dons Hyperloop TT’s signature cololur scheme, silver, red and gray and there are walls of clear glass that passerbys can see in and visitors can see their surroundings or the MRT station above.

7. THE THE EXP EXPERI ERIE ENCE CONCEPT Built to resemble a Hyperloop capsule itself, my space aims to educate and raise awareness about Hyperloop TT and their efforts.
INTERIOR The interior includes comfortable seating similar to the real deal, where people can sit down and look around the place at a safe social distance from each other.
TOTAL EXPERIENCE As the MRT above the site arrives and departs, my proposed structure will come to life with lights on the floor and walls, while a departing announcement is activated. When the mrt leaves the station, “passengers” of the space can look up through the skylights and experience the structure beginning to travel as a low hum of energy is heard from the “inductrack” and the air conditioning is slightly increased. All in all this creates a complete sensory experience for visitors in a busy location with high circulation.

PET ETAI AIN N ROAD ROAD
The Peppers brand is distinguished by its refined indulgence, attention to detail, and excellent personal service. From country estates to relaxing beachside resorts, from worldclass golf resorts to romantic vineyard retreats, Peppers combines personal and friendly services with exceptional food and wine. Elegantly-furnished bars, open spaces to recline and bask in the sprawling views of urban and coastal life. The shophouses at Petain Road (Jalan Besar) are nearly 100 years old and built in 1926-1931. Before becoming private condominiums, the area was used as a vegetable farm in the early 20th century, and then brothels by the 1930s.

etain Road was a short walk from City Square Mall at Farrer Park MRT (Mass Rapid Transit) station, and Kerrisdale condominium. There was also a big field across where people frequently brought their dogs to, as there was a bag of free tennis balls to borrow. However, to get to Petain Road, you would have to cross an unsheltered road. The sun path allowed for a beautiful sunset behind the cityscape from the front view of the shophouses. The fields and paths in front of the shophouses were also generally unobstructing, allowing for a clear view of Petain Road from afar.

Walking further in, there is a restaurant to eat and chat in, as well as a bar with a great view of the Zen Garden. Guests can also easily access the washrooms and workspitality area, and go for a well-earned massage at the spa. Staff can pick up deliveries from the backdoors of the kitchens and spa rooms, and the washrooms can be accessed for maintenance from the back of the shophouse. These doors can be locked to prevent misuse.

PLASTIC FILM GLASSES
I used some mostly opaque plastic as lenses for a pair of glasses. The lenses would block out everything except for blurry vision of light sources. This would allow me to completely focus on the elements around me and use a heightened sense of hearing, smell and touch. Blurs of vibrancy can still be seen. The signature reddish-purple of the SBS bus service is seen here.

2ND MODEL
WATER GLASSES
Rather than using a semi-translucent plastic sheet, now I will be looking directly through water that will distort my vision as I move.
The water in the glasses makes interesting patterns with the shadows on the floor and sunlight. Patterns and elements are dragged and merged. DISTORTION
2 (FOGGINESS)
“How my slice might visualise the connection between people and the environment for students of life, in order to be more in touch with and aware of emotions and the pattern of humanity” is applied here as my vision is altered, allowing me to be more in touch with my other senses and see different views of my surroundings. The water reflects and distorts light, magnifying and minimising elements.
OBSERVATIONS
MOTION
This perhaps can represent how without intervention, human emotions and thoughts can be very obscured. We might only need somebody to help us take off the “glasses” to see clearer.
I observed that bright areas exposed to sunlight are pleasant to see and create mesmerizing reflections and patterns on the glasses. However, dark areas seem terribly moody and not as pleasant to view.
As we view these frames one by one, we can see the dragging, blurring, reflecting and obscuring in these visuals very clearly.

PATTERN INTEGRATION
I was drawn to the patterns of bubbles on liquid surfaces as I was more observant of them while using my goggles to walk through my slice. They were very intriguing as the individual bubbles, pockets of air, would push and cram against each other, unbeknowingly creating a curving pathway within the whole group of bubbles. The pathway would thicken and thin, depending on how scarce space was.

Upon moving closer, they realise that they can see through the floor and into the level below. The floor is not entirely transparent, thus, they have to move around and perhaps position themselves to see without any obstruction. DRAFT SKETCH
UTOPIA HETEROTOPIA
W
hen hearing the defintion of heterotopia the first time, I was reminded of a Studio Ghibli movie I watched a long time ago, Howl's Moving Castle. In the movie, Howl, an incredibly talented wizard who was rumored to eat the hearts of beautiful women, travels through the country in a mechanical castle, stitched together haphazardly by his magic.
FIRST DRAFT OF MODEL
The impossible castle represents HETEROTOPIA because it is able to reinvent itself and change its rooms on Howl's will, as well as travel without any issue despite solely using a fireplace as an energy source, and defying physics and engineering. The castle renovation scene can be found at the bottom of this page through a QR code. Later on in the movie, Howl shows Sophie (Protagonist) his secret garden, his UTOPIA, where there is no disturbance or violence, only beautiful flower fields where Sophie can relax in.
DYSTOPIA
Lastly, throughout the whole movie, a raging war is going on, which Howl must help fight in, lest his powers be taken away. There are fighter planes that bomb the town, causing many buildings and lives to be lost, leaving everything engulfed in a crimson red haze. This would be the DYSTOPIA of the movie. I'd highly encourage anybody to watch this beautifully-made movie.
Cinematic pictures belong to Howl's Moving Castle, Toho Co., Ltd., 2004

PAIN AINT TIN ING G&P PH HOTO TOGRA GRAP PHY Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse scene
My love for fashion and just clothes in general bloomed in the beginning of 2020. Although my style has fluctuated and changed over the course of 2 years, I still very much enjoy putting different styles together before I go out to meet friends and family. I believe the future of fashion is unlimited as there are so many ways to accentuate the human body with all its edges and curves. Anybody can flaunt whatever they wear so long as they know they look good.
The Great Wave Off Kanagawa (Hokusai)
Personally, I would love to be more daring with my clothing and push my boundaries, however, fast fashion items are not exactly the most environmentally-friendly, and Singaporeans tend to stare for a bit too long sometimes... I hope to wear out bolder outfits with confidence and flair in the near future.
I have always enjoyed different techniques of art, and painted in watercolour frequently in 2018. My object of painting would be inspired from recent activities and sights, such as the movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Teacher's Day cards, food cravings, etc. My favourite painting of mine is the one reflecting the beautiful Edo artwork of Hokusai, The Great Wave Off Kanagawa.
