With a mission to help strengthen our members ’ positions through domestic and international initiatives, we will see events and activities across Northern Ontario, attendance at major mining conferences, new partnerships, and your member resources enhanced. We will also see a second cohort of companies join MineConnect USA in the Nevada cluster.

2022 was full of activity , and we can celebrate MineConnect’s accomplishments. On behalf of the Board of Directors, I would like to thank our Executive Director Marla Tremblay, and the entire team for their hard work . I would also like to thank our members and partners for their continued support.

Speaking of successes, our membership has grown. Particularly noteworthy is that this growth is across all regions, highlighting that we are truly a pan - northern organization. Special thanks to Paul Finley our Director of Member Re lations for his dedication and efforts on the member recruitment and retention front.

Marla and her team have put forward a tremendous effort with national, regional, and local events, launching new initiatives and partnerships, and maintaining our website, news feed, and social media. MineConnect is a member-based organization, and we depend upon your participation. I hope that each member will find a way to be more engaged this year. I encourage you to utilize our online resources, share your news and success stories, participate in events and missions, or join our Board of Directors. We are stronger together, and together we can ensure that everyone, including business, government, media, and the general public, understands the importa nce and value of Northern Ontario’s mining service and supply sector.

On a more personal note, one year ago, I was honoured to be asked to step into the role of MineConnect President. As I’m based in Thunder Bay , and relatively new to the organization, there was some trepidation. With the support of my fellow d irectors, Marla, Past - President Ricky Lemieux, and the various members and partners with whom I have met and spoken with over the past year, I need not have had any concerns whatsoever. This spe aks volumes about the strength behind MineConnect : the people.

Thank you to everyone for your continued support
