Join NCTV for a free filmmaking intensive covering the fundamentals of storytelling, film language, and camera operation. You’ll explore different story types, the rules that make film work, and gain fresh insight into how movies achieve their effects. Even if you already write scripts or know filmmaking basics, this workshop will expand your perspective. You’ll also try acting, directing, and filming with a real camera.

Storytelling is a form of activism and at OurNCTV we champion projects that merge art with purpose. From the intergenerational fables of Nantucket elders to teen-led media confronting substance misuse, our programs become platforms for personal truth and collective resilience. We invite creators of all ages to explore identity, challenge injustice, and inspire change through creativity. Even on the playing field, live student broadcasting transforms the shared pulse of the game into a language of belonging. As an inclusive media arts center, the island’s only, NCTV shapes community life through impact-driven, emotionally resonant storytelling that builds a stronger, more compassionate, and empowered Nantucket.
