MAGUINDANAO del Norte OIC Governor Abduraof Macacua is rushing the preparation of list of his people to compose the Sangguniang Panglalawigan of the fledgling province to be submitted to Pres. Marcos.
On Thursday, Macacua said he has already about 22 names close to his heart to compose the provincial lawmaking body that he would forward to Malacanang when fasting month ends.
Eid’l Fitr, end of Ramadan, is expected Friday (April 21) or Saturday.
“Most likely by Monday next week (April 24) or there about, I can submit the list to President BBM,” Macacua told a news conference here.
“From this number, the President may choose eight to compose the Sangguniang Panglalawigan plus the sectoral representatives,” he added.

SICK evacuees from the troubled Barangay Kilangan in Pagalungan, Maguindanao del Sur got special treatment from a humanitarian bloc during a relief mission last week, a municipal mayor said.
Pagalungan Mayor Salik Mamasabulod said Thursday he is grateful to the physician Kadil Sinolinding, Jr. of the 80-seat Bangsamoro regional parliament, his staff and a team from the Deseret Surgimed Hospital in Kabacan for treating and providing free medicines to evacuees from Barangay Kilangan. Hundreds of families in Barangay Kilangan were forced to relocate to safe areas for fear of getting trapped in the recurring gunfights between two heavilyarmed Moro groups in the area.
