Acclaimed conductor Robert Spano leads the Milwaukee Symphony and Chorus in Brahms’s poetic settings from the Bible, A German Requiem.

Yet its beautiful melodies have captivated for over a century. Associate Conductor Francesco Lecce-Chong leads Tchaikovsky’s passionate Fifth Symphony. And Vänskä himself has said, “It’s the life behind the notes we’re looking for.” Perhaps the world’s foremost Sibelius conductor, Vänskä leads the final two symphonies of his Finnish countryman. And Inon Barnatan returns for Schumann’s romantic Piano Concerto.

The Milwaukee Symphony winds shine in Frank Martin’s Concerto. And the concert comes to a shattering conclusion with Ravel’s mesmerizing La Valse.
