Dorsia opened on April 27th, 2017, which also happens to be owner Jeno Cataldo’s birthday. The name of the restaurant was inspired by the movie “American Psycho,” which features Christian Bale in the role of investment banker Patrick Bateman. Bateman and his cohort flaunt their wealth with expensive business cards, designer clothing and dinners at exclusive restaurants. One of those establishments is named Dorsia, where, if you don’t call weeks in advance, you’re laughed at when trying to make a reservation.

While the Milwaukee restaurant’s name alludes to the luxurious, suave dining theme from the cinematic classic, this Dorsia’s owners and staff aim to balance the niceties of fine dining with a welcoming atmosphere and a genuine Brady Street vibe.

THE SALVATION ARMY MILWAUKEE COUNTY CHAPLAINCY PROGRAM DAVID HILL, MELVIN REESE, GEORGE PAPACHRISTOU, LYNNE HINES-LEVY, ALEXIS TWITO AND LOGAN VANG

Meet six of the 52 members of The Salvation Army Milwaukee County's Chaplaincy Program: David Hill, Melvin Reese, George Papachristou, Lynne Hines-Levy, Alexis Twito and Logan Vang.

The Chaplaincy Program, which officially began in May 2015, is a partnership between The Salvation Army Milwaukee County and the Milwaukee Police Department. It's a one-of-a-kind program and partnership in the country for The Salvation Army. The chaplains are called to critical incidents when police determine emotional and spiritual care is needed, including; homicides, drug overdoses, house fires, fatal accidents and suicides.

At the scene, they pray with family and friends, when asked, and serve as a liaison between the people affected and the police. They also try to connect people to resources they might need in the days and weeks to follow, such

as counseling, financial services, dеаth and burial services, and bio-cleaning for the home.

All chaplains must make a two-year voluntary commitment to the program and must be able to respond to an event at all hours.

They are a diverse group: men and women, young and old, black, white, Hispanic, and Hmong, and pastors and non-pastors who represent 13 different denominations from 39 different churches. In a city known for being the most segregated city in the country, this program brings people together across racial, ethnic, and faith backgrounds to serve those in crisis.
