Reproductive Endocrinology, Infertility, Gynecologic Surgery Dr. Grace Janik is a subspecialist in reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) and minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (MIGS). Her expertise in both specialties enables her to offer excellence in a wide variety of services to improve and retain fertility as well as treat complex gynecologic problems. She did her fellowship in REI at Michael Reese Hospital/University of Illinois. In 1990, she started the IVF program at the Reproductive Specialty Center (RSC) which quickly became nationally recognized by US News and World Report and ranked third in “Top 10 Clinics for IVF.” Her pioneering work in endometriosis and laparoscopic tubal reanastomosis won first prize awards at American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM). She recently had the honor of giving a TED talk on endometriosis at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). She has lectured and operated extensively throughout the world, elevating RSC to a destination center for minimally invasive gynecologic surgery, especially tubal disease, fibroids, uterine anomalies, and endometriosis.
Dr. Janik’s career has been devoted to high quality, individualized patient care as well as advancing the field through research, advocacy, and education. She has served as president of the Society of Reproductive Surgeons (SRS) at the ASRM, the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists (AAGL), and the Fellowship in Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (FMIGS). Locally, she has been the site director at Ascension Columbia St. Mary’s Hospital for OB/GYN and MIGS and has trained over 200 OB/GYN residents and eight MIGS fellows. She served as assistant editor for the journal Human Reproduction and is currently the GYN consultant for the FDA devices committee. For over 25 years, Dr. Janik has been recognized in Milwaukee Magazine’s Top Doctors. He also constantly familiarizes himself with alternate medicines that can be safely used in the setting of kidney disease. He is very focused on elderly patients as some may have difficulty processing complex medical plans.
