Black Nativity by Langston Hughes celebrates 5th Year at Marcus Center On Thursday, December 5, 2019, Black Arts MKE presented a community night preview performance of "Black Nativity" by Langston Hughes at the Marcus Center's Wilson Theater at Vogel Hall. This holiday season marks the 5th year that the play has preformed in Milwaukee and has become an annual holiday tradition for families here in the community. This year the play is directed by Antoine Reynolds and features an all local cast and crew. "Black Nativity by Langston Hughes" is a testament to the power of gospel music, telling the classic story of the Nativity through a combination of African American scripture, poetry, dance and song. "Black Nativity by Langston Hughes" runs from December 5 through December 15, 2019.
