Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. hosts Walk in the Spirit Recognition Luncheon
On Saturday, October 26, 2019, the Eta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. Alpha Pi Chapter of Milwaukee, WI hosted their twelfth Annual Walk in the Spirit Recognition Luncheon at the Radisson Hotel Milwaukee West, 2303 N. Mayfair Rd., honoring "Outstanding Men Who Walk in the Spirit." The "Walk in the Spirit Luncheon" honors men who work tirelessly and modestly serving others. This event recognized eight men who are unsung heroes in their churches and communities. This year's honorees (left photo, from left) are Virgil Cameron, Carl Carby, Reuben Jones, Mark Miller, Gregory Roberts, Marvin Taylor, André Wilkerson, and Bob Williams. Zion Hill MBC hosts 2nd Annual Veterans Day Recognition Luncheon

On Sunday, November 10, 2019, Zion Hill Missionary Baptist Church hosted their 2nd Annual Veterans Day Recognition Luncheon at the church, 1825 W. Hampton Ave. The luncheon was co-sponsored by the American Legion Post 470 and the Men of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. The keynote speaker for the event was Dr. Darrell Williams, Administrator of the Division of Emergency Management in the Department of Military Affairs. On Saturday, November 9, 2019, the Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Community Center hosted Cut & Tie Job and Health Fair, at the center located at 1531 W. Vliet St. The event was held for underprivileged men in the Milwaukee area and offered mock interviews, resume assistance, free hair cuts and shaves, free ties and housing resources, as well as health insurance information and on-site Foodshare sign up. The event was sponsored by Anthem Blue Cross/Blue Shield; and barbers from Gee's Clippers, Sandra Dee's Phase 2 Salon, and the Mobile Barber Shop offered the free hair cuts and shaves.
