Riverside University High School hosts 'All City Class Reunion'

On Friday, September 30, 2016 at the Astor Hotel, Riverside University High School held their "All City Class Reunion." This momentous occasion featured alumni attending who graduated since the 1950's and beyond, with the Classes of '72, '81, and '74 having the biggest turnouts.
Milwaukee Urban League opens 'Neighborhood Job Center Access Point'

On Tuesday, September 27, 2016 the Milwaukee Urban League, the Department of Workforce Development, Milwaukee County, the City of Milwaukee, Employ Milwaukee Workforce Development, and Job Center of Wisconsin hosted the opening of the Neighborhood Job Center Access Point inside the Milwaukee Urban league, 435 West North Ave. The Access Point helps individuals looking for work find better-paying jobs, by provide help with resume creation, job applications, job searches, resources for former offenders, information about GED and skill resources, referrals for childcare assistance, housing and transportation, and to connect individuals with specialized services for their unique job abilities and needs. Divas in Training attend first-ever Brewers 'Give Back Game' On Sunday, September 23, 2016 the Milwaukee Brewers hosted their first annual "Give Back Game" at Miller Park, in which the team donated ticket proceeds from their final home game of the season to four local charities. As part of this special event, fans had the opportunity to secure tickets to the Crew's match-up with the Cincinnati Reds in exchange for a donation to a charity of their choosing. Among the local charities that were invited to attend and receive donations by the Brewers was Born 2 Dream Divas In Training. Born 2 Dream helps educate young women in business and entrepreneurship to prepare them to be the future business leaders of America. Currently, the group is raising funds to open a bakery that they will staff and run themselves.
