Milwaukee Bucks win ECF, head to NBA Finals for first time in 47 years The Milwaukee Bucks are playing in an NBA Final for the first time in 47 years! To get there they defeated the Atlanta Hawks 4-2 in the best-of-seven Eastern Conference Finals series. Despite not having star Giannis Antetokounmpo for the last two games due to a hyperextended left knee, the Milwaukee Bucks were able to get it done on the road Saturday, July 3, 2021. Khris Middleton led all scorers with 32 points. Jrue Holiday had a near-triple-double with 27 points, 9 rebounds and 9 assists. The Bucks played their first final game against the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday, July 6, 2021 and lost 105 to 118. However there are still more games to play.

Local Evangelist Selena Green hosts book signing event

Homegoing services for local radio legend Ernie G.

The homegoing service for legendary local radio DJ and personality Ernie G. Mitchell was held on Friday June 25, 2021, at Christ the King Baptist Church located at 7750 N. 60th Street, Milwaukee WI. Known on air as "Ernie G," for more than 40 years, he started with WAWA AM Radio and later continued with WMCS 1290 AM Talk Radio. Family, friends and local leaders were on hand to say their final farewells. Ernie was also a former Black Excellence honoree for Media. On Sunday, July 4, 2021, local author and Evangelist Selena Green held a book signing for her new book entitled, "Let's Get Down on Our Knees and Pray," at the Carrabba's Italian Grill, 18375 W. Bluemound Rd., Brookfield, WI. Helping Evangelist Green celebrate her accomplishment were church members, family and friends.
