GMUL awards laptops to 40 students and 10 scholarships

On Tuesday, June 14, 2022, The Greater Milwaukee Urban League (GMUL) and Kohler Co., teamed up to present 40 local high school graduates laptops as part of the " The Greater Milwaukee Urban League Annual Laptop Awards Ceremony," at the Milwaukee County Zoo Peck Pavilion. GMUL President and CEO Dr. Eve M. Hall and other program supporters presented the grads with the laptops. In addition ten of the students received scholarships to purchase

books in partnership with Kohler Co. At GMUL they believe our young people are our future, and we all share the responsibility of making sure they are prepared for the future. Thanks to Kohler Co., Johnson Controls, Ernst & Young, Target, Enterprise, and Huntington Bank, students will have a chance to head off to college with the latest technology needed for success and a scholarship to help purchase books.

Milwaukee Brewers celebrate the legacy of Hank Aaron

On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, the Milwaukee Brewers honored former team member and baseball legend "Hammerin'" Hank Aaron during their game against the Atlanta Braves at American Family Field. As part of the festivities various tributes about Hank Aaron's contributions to the game of baseball as well as his philanthropic work were presented throughout the game. Aaron played with the Brewers back when they were originally the Milwaukee Braves (1954– 1966) and stayed with the team when they moved to Atlanta (19671974); later he would return to Milwaukee to play with the Brewers (1975–1976) and finish his stellar career. Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity hosts annual "Kappa Kook Out" On Saturday, June 25, 2022, The Milwaukee Alumni Chapter of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity held its annual "Kappa Kook Out" in McGovern Park area 4 which was well attended by the Divine 9 and citizens from the Milwaukee area. Special guests who stopped by to partake in great food and conversation included Police Chief Jeffrey B. Norman, current Milwaukee County Sheriff Earnell Lucus, and former Milwaukee County Sheriff Richard Artison. An HTGroup, LLC Publication
