North Central Service Club, Inc. recognizes outstanding students and professional business women at scholarship luncheon

Nine Milwaukee female high school seniors received scholarship awards from The North Central Service Club, Inc., during the organization’s 42nd Annual Scholarship Luncheon on May 7, 2017 at the Radisson Hotel Milwaukee West, 2303 North Mayfair Road. The theme for the event was “Power is not just in the Leader’s hands; it is also in my hands,” and featured Milwaukee Area Technical College School of Technology and Applied Sciences Dean Dorothy Walker-Cooper as keynote speaker. The young women who received scholarships this year were Reniqua Brown (Washington H.S.); Keziah Carter (Bradley Tech); Aleeya Conway (Riverside University H.S.); Jamie Crawford (Milwaukee High School of the Arts); Zariah Franklin (James Madison Academic Campus); Siarah Jones (Rufus King International H.S.); Adrianne Jordan (North Division H.S.); Zarieanna McCoy (Hamilton H.S.); Jakizisha McKinney-Bell (Milwaukee School of Languages); Fatima Mohamed (Pulaski H.S.); Ampire Ntbala (South Division H.S.). North Central Service Club president is Monica Dickerson.
MHSI hosts annual staff luncheon and awards ceremony
On Tuesday, May 2, 2017, Milwaukee Health Services, Inc. (MHSI) hosted their annual "2017 All Staff Meeting" at Greater New Birth Church. Besides discussing last year's business and achievements and setting goals for the upcoming year, MHSI honored five employees who have been with the organization for more than twenty years. These individuals were honored for their service and dedication to MHSI's mission; to provide accessible, quality primary and related health care services to Milwaukee residents, with continuing emphasis on medically underserved families and individuals. Milwaukee Public Schools hosts '2017 All Schools Alumni Reunion' On Thursday, May 4, 2017 Milwaukee Public Schools (MPS) hosted their annual "All Schools Reunion" at the Italian Conference Center, 631 E. Chicago Street. The event was free to all MPS alumni from all current and previous existing MPS high schools. The reunion was a chance for former MPS students to reconnect with classmates and make new connections as they enjoyed refreshments and entertainment. All members of the MPS “forever family” were invited! The school with the most alumni in attendance received special recognition!! Pictured at the event are members of the the North Division High School Alumni Association.
