Milwaukee Urban League and Lands' End donate boots to Auer Avenue student
The Greater Milwaukee Urban League (MUL), in partnership with Lands’ End, donated 172 pairs of boots for the total student population at Auer Avenue Elementary School, under the leadership of Principal Dr. Zanetta Walker. This project was spearheaded by MUL’s Community School Coordinator, Kimberly Bikulcius, and MUL’s Education Manager Thomas McCreary. Voice of the Fatherless Child announces new 'WANT' community engagement initiative

On Wednesday, February 16, 2022, Voice of the Fatherless Child (VOTFC) held a press conference at 310 W. Wisconsin Ave., to call on community leaders and agencies to join together with their resources to save lives. WANT (We Are Networking Together) joined together with public officials, community leaders, W2 agencies, healthcare professionals, and more to work with the entire family. Voice of the Fatherless Child will use entertainment as a form of intervention. The
stage play "KIA Boyz (Karma In Action)" will be coming soon. After the play, the doors to the resources will open to help rebuild the family unit: Father, Mother and Child. Sponsors for the program include America Works, Home Depot, First Student Bus Company, and Community Advocates. Members from the St. Peter’s Missionary Baptist Church held a luncheon in honor of Pastor Oscar Elim’s 80th birthday on Sunday, February 20, 2022 at the Woodlands Lund Circle in Menomonee Falls. The theme for this occasion was: “The Man, The Journey, The Legend of Pastor Oscar Elim."
