Obituary Earnest L. Daniels, the husband of Luevenia Daniels, was born September 20,

1939 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Elbert Lee and Dorothy Willie Mae (Crawford) Daniels. He was preceded in death by his siblings: Alice (Daniels), Hazel Daniels Matthews, Jewelee Daniels Davis, and Archie S. Daniels.

Earnest L. Daniels attended grade school and intermediate school in the south. In his late teens, he left Arkansas and moved to Milwaukee to reside with his older siblings because he felt that the opportunities were more plentiful in the north. Upon moving to Milwaukee, Earnest enrolled in and graduated from St. Benedict the Moor High School in Milwaukee. Always seeking opportunities to support himself, Earnest attended postsecondary school and continued to work several jobs. Also during this time, he was “courting� the love of his life, Luevenia. On November 26, 1960 the two exchanged vows at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Milwaukee.

Earnest was known by everyone as a hard worker and the consummate business man. Earnest worked nearly 20 years at American Linen. During that same time he opened and operated St. Francis Social Center. While he worked at the linen company, Luevenia and their daughters ran the businesses. Earnest would go on to own and operate a hardware store, two grocery stores and Soapies Landromat before retiring from Goodwill Industries and moving to Orlando, Florida in the fall of 2010.

Although a very imposing man, Earnest was the one who sought to calm a situation or mediate a dispute. You could count on him to be frank with you about what you needed to do to get yourself together and we all knew and trusted that he would have your best interest in mind.

In his leisure, Earnest enjoyed fishing, watching the news and a Ricky Smiley comedy show. He also enjoyed fixing things and would make himself available to do car repairs, plumbing and electrical work.

Earnest could fix just about anything; in his mind there was nothing he could not do.

Earnest had six daughters and made many sacrifices so that each of them could attend college. His big heart also extended to others. He mentored so many people, young and old over the years and he would give the shirt off his back if you were willing to commit to doing the right thing.

Earnest leaves to cherish his memories: His sister and brother - Louise (Daniels) Sykes and Elbert L. Daniels Jr. His children: Felita (Judge Carl) Daniels-Ashley; Latrencia (Peter) Johnson, Tonjha (Randy) Britt, Luevenia (Victor) Jackson, Pamdoria (Larry Harris) Daniels, Earnest Green and Heather Schweitzer.

Grandchildren: Nehemiah Miller, Donavan (Lianna) Jackson, Nevan Lewis, Devin Jackson, Demario Harris, Nacacia Wardell, Elise Ashley, Sinya Wardell, Destiny Jackson, Zoe Ashley, Nile Wardell, Torohn Britt; a great granddaughter. Special daughters: Zeni Green, Cheryl Walker Lloyd, Denise Lindsey, Fabiana Rodrigues da Sliva, Candace McGowan and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.

Funeral Mass Order Of Service Catholic Funeral Liturgy When one of its members dies the Catholic community gathers the family and friends of the deceased to give praise and thanks to God for Christ’s victory over sin and death, to commend the deceased to God’s tender mercy and compassion and to seek strength in the proclamation of the Paschal Mystery. Through the Holy Spirit we are joined together in faith as one Body in Christ to reaffirm in sign and symbol, word and gesture that each believer through baptism shares in Christ’s death and resurrection and can look to the day when all the elect will be raised up and united in the kingdom of light and peace.

The Funeral Liturgy is divided into four parts: The Reception at the Church; The Liturgy of the Word, The Liturgy of the Eucharist and The Farwell and Final Commendation

The Offertory Procession The gifts of bread & wine are formally carried forward through the congregation as a symbol that it is the entire community offering themselves—time, talent, and treasure to the Lord. God receives what we offer and converts it into the presence of His Son who offers himself in nourishment to us.

Receiving Communion Receiving Communion for Catholics is a statement of faith in the true presence of Jesus Christ— Body, Blood, Soul and Divinity — in the Eucharistic Bread and Wine.

Incense The sweet smelling incense, reminds us of the unseen but perceived presence of God during this holy time, our own prayers that we might not even be able to put into words rising up to the Gods presence, and of our loved one being lifted in to the presence of the Divine.
