J NYCOLE RALPH (Swing). Awardwinning producer best known for creating sitcom series Working Out the Kinks, the first scripted sitcom series highlighting the natural hair movement. “Yaaaaaasssss!”

TREY PARKER (Co-Director, Book, Music, Lyrics) wrote and directed his first feature film, Cannibal! The Musical, while attending the University of Colorado in

WHO’S WHO IN THE CAST Boulder. A few years later, he co-created the hit animated series South Park with Matt Stone (his college friend and Cannibal! producer). Debuting on Comedy Central in 1997 and currently in its 16th season, South Park has won four Emmy Awards as well as the coveted Peabody Award. The same year South Park debuted, Mr. Parker wrote, directed, and starred in the film Orgazmo.

Two years later he and Stone released the critically acclaimed feature film South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut. The musical, which Mr. Parker directed and co-wrote, earned an Oscar nomination for Best Song and the first ever New York Film Critics Circle Award for Best Animated Film. In 2004 the pair returned to movies with Team America: World Police, an action movie co-written and directed by Parker, starring a cast of marionettes. It has been a long-time dream

of his to write a musical for Broadway. Mr. Parker is originally from Conifer, Colorado.

ROBERT LOPEZ (Book, Music, Lyrics) is the Tony, Grammy, and Emmy–winning co-creator of the smash hit musicals Avenue Q and The Book of Mormon. With wife Kristen Anderson-Lopez, he wrote the songs for Disney’s blockbuster movie Frozen, their hit song “Let It Go” nominated for an Oscar and Golden Globe Award. They also wrote songs for Winnie the Pooh (Disney Animation, 2011) and Finding Nemo: The Musical (playing at Walt Disney World since 2006). They are currently writing an original stage musical called Up Here, directed by Alex Timbers. Tonight’s “The Book of Mormon” is one of the few that highlights our community. It would be a shame, no matter your faith, or lack thereof, to miss seeing firsthand a few of downtown’s religious inspired sights.

TEMPLE SQUARE Summer or winter, Temple Square is beautiful. The rock climber in me is always in awe that granite from Little Cottonwood Canyon was quarried to build the Salt Lake Temple over a century ago. It was no small feat to blast, transport and smooth these blocks of granite and turn it

into what we see today, taking four decades to complete.

The gardens are full of colorful flowers all summer long, thanks to the attentiveness of volunteer and full-time gardeners. The gardens at Temple Square are one of downtown’s greatest and often under-appreciated assets. And come winter, the holiday lighting is unparalleled. In fact, workers begin stringing the 30+ miles of lights in August to be ready for the lighting display in November. Take a quick stroll through Temple Square after the show if you have the chance.

Mormon Tabernacle Choir

The Choir has open rehearsals on Thursday evenings as well. All activities are free and open to the public.
