The many awards granted to Cadovius and Abstracta include a Gold Medal in Brussels for International Design and The ID Classics Prize by the Danish Design Centre. The Abstracta system combines a variety of tube lengths, connectors and accessories to form structured units utilizing shelving and vertical panels. The result is a wide spectrum of applications which can be designed to fit your needs. Illustrations of the connectors will familiarize you with the concept. Complete information on the system and current pricing is shown on the Abstracta web site. 100% recyclable, Abstracta is available in 13mm (1/2”) diameter tubes, which allow for most any configuration utilizing 90º connections. The stock units shown in this catalog are 13mm unless otherwise noted. Abstracta is a marriage of metal, wood and glass to make an eco-friendly presentation. Choose from stock units or let us help you design fixtures tailored to your specific needs. Stock Units and Modified Stock Units Stock designs are available in a variety of finishes and come with or without glass. Other shelving options such as wood, mirrored glass and acrylic can be custom ordered. The design of any stock unit can easily be modified to meet your display or furniture needs. All designs can also be changed to allow for graphics. Calibrated Tubes and Connectors We “calibrate” all stock and custom lengths of our 13mm tubing to ensure dependable and accurate joining with the Abstracta 13mm connectors. All of the most popular connectors have been redesigned utilizing “TwentyFirst Century” technology and casting procedures for consistency and reliability. For the best possible results, use only genuine Abstracta calibrated tubing with your Abstracta connectors.
Custom Design Services The modular nature of Abstracta allows it to be as simple or as unique as your needs require. Our complimentary design service is available to assist with your ideas for special displays or furniture configurations. Email or call today! When planning your Abstracta unit, please consider the following: Floor Space - What width and depth of floor space is available? Do you want access to the unit from more than one side? How large do you want shelves or horizontal surfaces? Overall Height - Consider sight lines and shelf accessibility. Do you require a graphics holder or other signage on the unit? Vertical Specifications - Consider the height between the shelves, will the displayed merchandise fit comfortably? Finishes - Available finishes for 13mm Abstracta are shown on page 2. Assembly With a nylon mallet and a hard surface, the system can be assembled quickly and easily. We encourage the use of the Abstracta Nylon Mallet (913) for assembly, the Abstracta Disconnect Tool (915) and Extractor Rod (EX-ABS) for taking 13mm units apart. A 10% discount will be applied to these three items when purchased with a stock, modified or custom unit. We recommend using a small amount of non-corrosive lubricant on the connectors prior to assembly.
