SATURDAY, JULY 17 - 10 AM | CAROUSEL LAWN FUN Saturday Mornings: Sova Theatre Marvelous Metamorphoses Adelka Polak’s performance “Marvelous Metamorphoses” accompanied by music engages the audience with the use of dance, puppetry, and mask work to vividly portray characters and concepts told through movement, sound, and imagery in the story, making them memorable. The puppets are made by both the main performer Adelka Polak along with award-winning fine artist and sculptor Justin Perlman. The original music is provided by Q Music/Cynthia Quintanal. We journey through the life cycles of frogs, butterflies, and bees utilizing the art of puppetry and music. We are all connected. We are of nature, and we have an effect on the world.

The music and ‘moving art’ shows are performed by two-time Grammy-nominated songwriter, cartoonist, and author, Morgan Taylor. With its unique crossover appeal, the show has even been the wildcard opening act for Wilco and The Polyphonic Spree. All of the songs are whimsical and super catchy narratives that explain the life of a friendly alien from the Sun who now resides in a wildly imaginative version of the woods of Minnesota.

Rumpelstiltskin plays tricks on people! When he plays a trick on the Miller, the Miller’s daughter has to put it right. The production is presented in the classic hand puppet style. All voices are performed live, so the audience can ask the puppets questions and they will answer!

The class is designed to create a simple and safe physical activity intervention while enjoying rhythms from all over the world.

World of Dance provides inspirational choreography used to create a dance-inspired experience with rhythms from all over the world, transforming the technical movement of dance into fun routines that are inspiring and accessible so everyone can enjoy. Some of the rhythms used are Bollywood, Bangra, Reggae, Dancehall, Soca, Samba, Brazilian Funk, Belly Dance, Tango, Flamenco, & Street Heat fused to create an incredible sound and workout.

An Open Level Power Vinyasa, which brings a fluid, powerful style of yoga that focuses and links your breath, intention, and presence. Intended to build proper alignment, strength, stamina, and focus to empower you outside the class through the sequence of poses you flow through during the class.

Open Daily Mid-September Visit our fountain during the day and grab lunch from our new concessions stand, or stop by at night to watch a color-changing light show – from pink for breast cancer awareness to red, white and blue for the Fourth of July. The Steven & Alexandra Cohen Fountain is a display fountain, not a splash pad.

Our concession stand, The Snack Box, will be open Thursdays through Sundays in the afternoon and during scheduled events and programming.
