Have you ever wondered why a store is set out a certain way or why you walk into a store and come out with 5 new outfits? Well in my brand-new blog I can teach you tips and tricks to be a great visual merchandiser. A normal day for me is waking up at 4.45 I get ready for the day brush my teeth , some light makeup and get dressed, and have my morning chocolate oats with a smoothie. Then I get on the train for 8:00am. On my way to work I catch up on work on the laptop and respond to pictures and questions from other stores to see if the briefs are up to date and also checking best sellers' reports. When I arrive to the first store, I immediately do a floor walk to see if the shopfloor is tidy , briefs up to date and catch up with store manager on what's selling , what's not. If the brand-new brief has run out already and needs a new one , so I will pull out rails of stock to start the new brief making sure to clean up my mess after. I would finish at 3 – 4 but depending on my travel home I would either be home for 5 – 7. I would normally have a nice relaxing bath give myself some TLC. After I'm all fresh , nice pjs I will cook some tea tonight I had a chicken creaser salad with a nice 7up. I will check my laptop for emails and put all my photos of new briefs on to my portfolio, so I always have evidence of all my VM work. I catch up on love island then go to my room. As I'm up for 4.45am I will set out my outfit for the morning and pack my bag already for the day ahead , then I will chill in my bed and go to sleep roughly around 10. My days are all the same yet in different stores with different colleges and sometimes travelling the glob as a Senior VM I have 10 stores and 6 concessions internationally. I love my job and if you love fashion this could be for you (girly tip you get weekends off).
