Sanjo
Virginia Beach
Sanjo, a Barcelona manufacturer who expanded into the US over five years ago has completed their machine pit foundations and enclosed the building envelope. This 23,000 square foot Phase II expansion is being constructed by Balicore Construction with an expected completion date of May 2024. New production lines will be installed in May as well as some additional office renovations.

New Realm
Suffolk
New Realm Brewery & Distillery in Suffolk is well underway with its expansion, marking the brewery’s second location in Virginia. Balicore Construction is the general contractor and is finalizing roof installation. New Realm has already begun hiring and training staff at the Virginia Beach location and accepting reservations for fall events. A late summer opening is expected.

Dominion Energy

On an 7.5-acre site, the Dominion project is comprised of three construction projects: Monitoring Control Center (MCC), warehouse, and new floating pier. When completed, the MCC will be a 25,000 SF LEED Silver rated building, the warehouse will be a conditioned 16,000 SF pre-engineered building, and 200-foot floating pier totaling a $60 million dollars in construction and development. Recently, Balicore has reached a major milestone obtaining both the Dominion project site plan approval and associated site permits and the Monitoring Control Center (MCC) building permit.
Balcore’s team is being led by the efforts of, Gavin Moorfield, Jim Thruston, and Alaina Holland. Balicore is in the process of ramping up contracting with building trades, the RFI, and submittal processes. Trident Civil’s field team lead by Michael Johns, has been working hard installing all site utilities. Moreover, Trident has creatively helped solve several underground conflicts/ obstacles thus maintaining our project schedule. In early March, Balicore will drive two test piles per building structure, with anticipated production pile driving operations in the month of April.
