Ireland The Show

As usual, we have a jam-packed programme of events for the summer months ahead.

This season, we are delighted to welcome the stage adaptation of Baz Luhrmann’s Strictly Ballroom for the very first time in May. This incredible West End touring production is directed by Craig Revel Horwood and stars Strictly’s own, Kevin Clifton, along with Coronation Street’s Faye Brookes. It is sure to be a massive hit with our audiences. August sees the much anticipated return of Buddy The Musical. It’s been fifteen years since this sensational multi award-winning West End and Broadway show last appeared on our stage and we can’t wait to welcome it back.

May sees the return of the hilarious, Menopause The Musical 2, which stars formerX Factor Finalist, Mary Byrne. Also in May, local group, The Grove, brings their latest musical production of the ever popular, Grease. OurYouth Musical this year is Fame The Musical. Once again, our incredibly talented young people will amaze you with their performances in this all singing, all dancing musical set in NewYork’s famous School of Performing Arts which is with us in July.

There is plenty of comedy again this season. Paul Smith makes his Forum debut in May for two sell-out performances whilst popular stand-up comedian, Tom Allen, best known for his appearances on TV’s The Apprentice – You’re Fired and Bake Off: An Extra Slice, brings his new show, Completely, in June. Tickets are already selling well so it is advised to book tickets soon for this one. Meanwhile, local social media sensation, Serena Terry (aka Mammy Banter) arrives for two sell-out shows also in June.

We have lots to keep the younger audiences entertained this season. They will love Dinosaur World Live in July as they experience the dangers and delights of the prehistoric world in this engaging and interactive show. June sees the Ulster Orchestra team up with CBeebies to bring a fun-filled musical ocean adventure for all the family. Also in June, we have the Ukrainian troupe of artistes, MIMIRICHI, with their unique and utterly bonkers show, Paper World. This really is a must-see performance as they will, literally, tear the house down!

There is music with the return of the ever popular Daniel O’Donnell and The Magic Of Motown in June, whilst audience favourite, Rhythm of the Dance, is back with a brand new production.

Looking ahead, we are excited to welcome the hugely popular West End touring production of Dirty Dancing to our stage again later in the year. Tickets for this are expected to be in big demand, so I would advise you book your seats for this as early as possible.

I really look forward to welcoming you all this season. Your support is, as always, very much appreciated.
