Rock 'n' Roll fans, get ready for the much anticipated return of one of the most popular West End musicals to ever grace our stage.
Buddy - The Buddy Holly Story is back for a week long run from 8 August and we can't wait! Featuring 2 terrific hours of the greatest songs ever written, including THAT'LL BE THE DAY, LA BAMBA, JOHNNY B GOODE and many, many more.

THURSDAY 10 AUGUST @ 2pm, Relaxed and Dementia Friendly performance, all tickets £21.50.
What is a Relaxed and Dementia Friendly show?

This show is designed to create an enjoyable and relaxed atmosphere for people who suffer from learning disabilities and people with dementia and their families at the theatre.
What happens at a Relaxed & Dementia Friendly show?
Flashing Lights - the amount of flashing lights will be reduced
Lighting - lights in the auditorium remain on at a low level during the show
Moving - leaving for a break and returning is encouraged if required
Noise - there will be a very relaxed attitude to moving around the theatre
Smoke Effects - Buddy uses haze effects which is a water-based mist, haze is used to create a general "smokey" effect on stage which enhances the lighting. It's very safe. This will also be reduced.
Volume - the overall volume of musical numbers and other amplified voices will be reduced

DEEDS Exhibition: Treasured Possessions: The People’s Artefacts

The exhibition is the result of an arts process funded by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland (Arts and Older People Programme) which enabled DEEDS members living with dementia to make a link to the Tower Museum for a dementia friendly session looking at the people’s 10 artefacts, reminiscing and engaging in storytellingabouttheobjects.

They were then photographed with their treasured possessions by the artist photographer Emmett McSheffrey. The members then worked with Community Dramatist Patsy Devine to have their stories recorded for the exhibition. These group and individual portraits have formed the exhibition alongside the members’ stories.
The exhibition is on display in the Piazza of the Millennium Forum until 24 June, everyone welcome.
