“what will heal a meanty b is a cocky t.”
(what will heal a mental breakdown is a cocktail)
Why am I telling you this, well one thing I love is a good alcoholic beverage especially a vodka cranberry but bar the point, the point of this is that eveytime I go out for a drink with people they are with friends, people I consider having a candid
Now the title of the magazine is making sense huh!
Anyways when meeting up with my friends these candid memories are some I remember fondly, with the weirdest stories and full of belly laughs, but inevitably this is all because we are comfortable with each other. The photos taken throughout this magazine highlight the importance of rela tionship and especially how relationships are important for me. Back to the instagram bio, I always believed that in order for me to be ME I would have to drink alcohol as they say drunk words are sober thoughts, but I’ve realised the idea of anxiety means that not just me but everyone in the realm of social media wants to portray themselves as having the best time in posed pictures structured in order to get other peoples attention. For me the best pictures I have ever taken are those on film, shot in a candid format. When I say the word candid I believe it to be the most natural form someone can be in, expressing raw emotions, well relationships make us all happy and, being around people with the same interests and having the same weird shit humour makes interactions with each other more rememberable, well that’s my idea of candid. I strongly believe that social media has ruined my perception of other people and in some way I hope you would too, but inevitably candid memories are one that you will savour forever, even though I’m not good at relationships especially romantic ones at the moment, the act of seeing two people truly in love either romantically or platonically, candid emotions are shown, big cheesy smiles, eyes fixed on a deep conversation.
Inevitably relationships benefit us both physically and emotionally, so sit back and read a magazine based all around being present in the moment, documenting the most funny moments and forever being CANDID.

Keeping Nostalgia Alive
How do we keep nostalgia alive I hear you ask.
2020
unmatched
Well since 2020 there has been an increase in the buying of both digital and actual film products, such as cameras. Authenticity and credibility are the main reason, as the idea of something being in some ways handmade gives the film personality. The idea of unmatched aesthetics is key, images like the ones on the other page were taken a few years ago, but with the film becoming expired, it gives a unique and imperfect aesthetic unmatched to that of an iPhone. The most important reason is the authentic look. The idea of having modern-day images look like that of 20 years ago, with increased exposure and saturation means that folks are able to capture pictures as their true selves. Not a Fantasy or make-believe.
a person. It is true that beautiful or handsome people are more appealing. But we can have a reliable relationship and long-lasting trust only in the personalities of people. The physical appearance of a person might fade as years pass on, but their characters do not. So, we should not judge anyone or anything by their appearance. It is great wisdom to realise that “Beauty Is In The Eye of The Beholder” and why candid produces the most authentic forms of ourselves.
“Beauty is in the eye of the beholder.”
Yes! This night just like the picture, ended in a blur. No surprises here. But did you have a good time? Did you spend it with people you love? Well, it was all worth it then.
When I hear the word friends, the first thought that comes to mind bar the catchphrase friends from the inbetweeners is compassion.
Candid moments will forever hold the best memories, with the idea of drunk words being sober thoughts. The portrayal of oneself in a group setting is the most authentic version of yourself. Documenting the funniest moments (usually with a pint in hand and a game of pool), relationships make us all happy. Especially friendships. Some consider friendships as the family they never had or a ‘chosen family’ being comfortable talking about the most gut-wrenching topics while being able to support each other. Without human contact, we are decreasing our central feeling of belonging. Imagination, ritual (a chat over a pint, in a beer garden, on a warm day) and attention are key without them we are merely lost. So next time you are out with someone take a minute to think how much better even within that split second being around someone can boost your mood and provide the most CANDID experience.
Posed and not Candid
I don’t know about you but there is nothing I hate more (this is a stretch but the phrase worked with the point I’m gonna make so just go along with it) than when someone make you pose for a picture.
A forced smile. Hands around each other in a group picture. The arguments about who looks good in the picture and who doesn’t. This is where the idea of candid and film photography is forever and always a winner. The possession of raw emotions will always over shadow that of posed and in some words fake situations in which we place ourselves which in turn makes us uncomfortable. Im not saying that a posed picture isn’t good. I know I have a few of them dotted within my camera roll. What I am trying to say is when I think of the phrase posed I think of trying to make yourself as something you’re not.
P.S. THE NEXT FEW PAGES ARE JUST A LOAD OF PHOTOS, SO PREPARE TO VIEW CANDID IN ITS TRUE FORM.
