With the NFL Draft just a few months away, we will profile a few college prospects and free agents at positions of need the Chargers could possibly add to the team.

Based on Staley’s comments, here is a glance at a few defensive linemen some NFL analysts have the Chargers selecting with the 17th overall pick in the draft.

A semifinalist for the Chuck Bednarik Award (the nation’s top defensive player), the 6’4, 290-pound Leal produced 58 tackles, 12.5 tackles for loss and 8.5 sacks in his final year with the Aggies.

His ability to play both inside and outside on the edge would enable Joey Bosa to move around the defensive front to prevent opposing offenses from keying on him.
