Operation: Hope Front Announces 3rd Annual Military Families Conference, A Day of Hope 2012 WILMINGTON, N.C. – Scotts Hill Baptist Church’s military ministry, Operation: Hope Front, will be hosting its 3rd Annual Military Families Conference, “A Day of Hope 2012,” Saturday, Sept. 8, 2012 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., at the church’s Cross Point Center located at 185 Scotts Hill Loop Road, Wilmington, N.C. 28411. The two-part conference is primarily designed to provide a day of hope, encouragement, support and fun for all military wives, fiancés, girlfriends, mothers, and female service members, and will also host a men’s event that will run the same day from 10-11:30 a.m. For the women’s event, guest speaker Marshele Carter Waddell, author of “When War Comes Home” and “Hope for the Home Front,” will be offering words
of support and hope for military families. Registration cost is $10 and includes lunch, door prizes, music, games, discussions on issues relevant to women in the military community and more! Free childcare for children ages birth6th grade is available on-site and includes lunch and fun activities for the kids while moms attend the event. Military men, husbands, fiancés, and boyfriends of all ranks and branches are invited to attend a men’s session from 10-11:30 a.m. which will also feature a guest speaker, as well as breakfast, basketball, door prizes, fellowship, and more! The Site 69 PRAP presents the preferred alternatives for addressing the waste disposal area and groundwater contamination. The preferred alternative for Site 69 includes capping for the waste disposal area, monitored natural attenuation for groundwater, and land use controls.
