When Jerome Seegars started looking for a home to buy this past August, he began by looking at short sales. Not pleased with what was available, a sign for New Port caught his eye while out with his realtor. “We drove in and toured the townhome models. Then I saw the single family homes being built, and asked, how much were they?” he explained. Upon realizing he could get a three bedroom/two and a half bath home for $199,900, it didn’t take long for him to sign the papers! “I’m an IT2 and am stationed at Little Portsmouth, Virginia Creek in Norfolk,” Jerome added. “Having been in the military for four years, I knew I needed to invest in buying a home.” Jerome had his parents with him, and they were all equally impressed with the open space the models featured. He selected the Biscayne model, and is excited that he will be settled in to his new home for the holidays. “Chesapeake Homes has a lot of incentives for me too, so it was a really smart move on my part to buy here,” he furthered. Jerome is looking forward to grilling for family and friends come Spring, and hopes to get a dog so he can take it for walks in the New Port neighborhood.
