hap exercise May 1. The exercise began at about 9 a.m. with the simulation of two helicopters colliding, resulting in mass casualties with both helicopters catching fire at Camp Pendleton. The exercise gave the Navy,Virginia National Guard and local emergency response teams the opportunity to enhance their coordination and
gave them practice in dealing with an aircraft mishap. “I love what I see out here today,” said Sgt. First Class Randy Carter, Virginia National Guard senior non-commissioned officer at Camp Pendleton. “[John Heistand] approached me with this back last September. I really
