Your Complete PCS Journey with the Military & Family Readiness Center

The Military & Family Readiness Center Relocation Assistance Program (RAP) is here to deliver relocation services to help ease personal and family stressors experienced during a PCS. The RAP offers the opportunity for you to connect, prepare and become resilient by gaining critical relocation information, counseling, education and referrals.

For a successful PCS, the first step is to ensure sponsors are trained, ready to help inbounds prepare for the upcoming move. Sponsorship training is a 2-stage process. If you’re a sponsor, complete the electronic Sponsorship Application & Training (eSAT) through Military OneSource and attend Team Mildenhall sponsorship training provided by the M&FRC. This is also advertised through the Professional Development Center, and up to 40 people can attend each event.

Call the M&FRC if you wish to arrange separate training for your unit. Being a ready sponsor is paramount to our success as a team and military community. Please encourage your inbounds to join our virtual Pre-Arrival Orientation. To help ease the process of moving, the M&FRC offers this to encourage early connections and enable a smoother arrival experience to the UK.

After arrival, newcomers complete the 2-day Team Mildenhall Newcomers’ Orientation facilitated by the M&FRC. This event is packed with required and need to know information, in-processing actions, drivers’ training program and test. Orientations include Host Wing leadership, Housing and Unaccompanied Housing Offices, TMO Personal Property,

WHAT KIND OF TRAINING WILL I RECEIVE?

All of our staff must complete 15 self study module courses within 18 months. This will be specific to early childhood related topics - everything from cognitive development to working with families! They also receive pediatric CPR training, medication administration training, child abuse identification, prevention and reporting training, ServSafe food handlers training and much more in a hands on environment!

DIY Time

Come to the Wood Shop Complex and work on your own wood projects! You will have access to a wide range of equipment, and our expert staff is available to train you on operating each machine before you get started, so you stay safe while creating. You can bring in your own materials or purchase materials from our on-site retail shop. By appointment only.

Customization

We have so many customization options! Our CNC machine operates tools to cut and remove material - as programmed by our computer software - and can be used to create custom cut-outs for any project. Customization options are available for leadership award boards, framing, and that piece of furniture that doesn’t fit your house quite right. Give us a call! We can help.
