Astro Retreat in Milaidhoo Discover the secrets of the universe under the starry Maldivian night sky during our Astro Retreat. This will be a memorable journey of stargazing and celestial storytelling, coupled with special experiences concocted by the Milaidhoo family and Valerie Stimac.

"Healing Space" Massage

This treatment is inspired by the vast universe beyond the Earth's atmosphere. Let your senses guide you, starting with the relaxing sound of singing bowls creating rich and deep planetary tones, followed by a calming Balinese massage, coupled with the scent of rose aromatherapy. This scent was chosen as it is inspired by the rose sent to space as an experiment.

Stargazing at a sandbank

Enjoy a starlit dinner at a remote sandbank with Valerie and learn about the universe.

After dinner, she will guide you through the sky, complemented by a special stargazing setup.

A cruise through the stars

Board one of our luxury boats and experience a journey in the ocean, guided by the stars.

Our boat crew and Valerie will show you some tips about navigating waters, using the sky as a map.

Night Sky Mythology Discussions

Learn how to photograph the night sky with Valerie. You will be guided about how to capture the night sky using professional cameras as well as mobile devices.

Join a discussion where Valerie teaches us the history of the night sky across various regions, including the Maldives and neighbouring cultures as well.

Snorkelling with the stars of the ocean

Name a Star in Milaidhoo

The Ocean Stories Aquatic Centre, along with Valerie, will guide you through a night "Fluo" snorkelling session where you may find bioluminescent plankton which can glow in blue.

Milaidhoo offers you to name a star during the Astro Retreat. You will be given an official certificate indicating the star in which you name.
