Site design for a formerly abandoned mill-building being revitalized for mixed use. Analyzed the human and ecological aspects of the site (water flow, access and circulation, slopes, vegetation, solar exposure, views, and microclimates) in addition its historical and broader ecological context to inform a design well suited to the site.
Provided design recommendations for rooftop living spaces that incorporate green roof technology in order to mitigate stormwater; improvements to the front and rear entrances to be welcoming, universally accessible and attractive; management recommendations for a riparian buffer; a design for a beer garden; and information on living wall techniques.
