Get Proper Insulation in the Roominsulationmachines.net There is no heat left through the walls and the floor in an older basement. The basement should always be heated for a minimum of 16 degrees throughout the year for health reasons. In some houses it is up to a third of the heat, which disappears through the basement walls or floors for the proper utilization of insulation removal vacuum. In such basements you can save a lot by isolating the basement's outer walls. As a rule of thumb, a basement needs to be isolated if:    

The house was built before 1999. Basement wall and basement flooring has less than 100 mm insulation. The basement has not already been thoroughly insulated. The basement walls are lean and in poor condition.

Is the house built before 1999? There is usually no need to re-insulate the basement if the house was built after 1999. In that case, the entire house, including the basement, will meet the strictly high energy requirements regarding the extent of insulation, which was first included in the Building Regulations of September 1998. If the house was built before 1999, it will often be possible to re-insulate the basement. If the house was built before 1999, and if moisture penetrates the basement, it may be a good idea to establish a scale and, on the same occasion, re-insulate the basement wall from the outside by the help of insulation vacuum blower. Is the basement sufficiently insulated? The basement is adequately insulated if the insulation layer in the wall is 200 mm for a heated basement. If the basement is unheated, there should be a minimum of 125 mm insulation in the wall. This corresponds to the building regulations requirements for the basement wall in a new extension. If the insulation layer is smaller, it is a good idea to supplement with an additional layer of insulation with insulation vacuum machines. On drawings of the house you will always be able to see if the basement walls are insulated. One should be aware that there may well be deviations in the original drawings. Is the basement wall leaky and in poor condition? If the basement wall is out of place, there will be a heat loss associated with it. Therefore, check that the basement wall is close and in good condition. Do not seal or repair with diffusion-sealed materials as this will hold on the outside moisture and eventually make the surface to peel and crumble. Windows, light boxes, and doors can also be leaked and give a big heat loss. In addition to pipe feeds, leaks can cause unnecessary heat loss and, in addition, allow moisture to penetrate. Ropes in the basement wall or floor also allow radon - which may be harmful to health - penetrate your home.
