Since its inception in 1999, the main objective of the foundation has always been to offer maximum support to groups and individuals in need on the Costa del Sol

This year, the Idiliq Foundation celebrates its 25th anniversary reaffirming its social commitment. Its main objective is to offer maximum support to the groups and individuals in need on the Costa del Sol thanks to donations and contributions from partners, customers and employees. Over the years, the foundation has maintained its commitment to solidarity with citizens by working to offer coverage to the main social demands through sponsorship, financial donations and constant support to the associations and individuals who need it.
Adimi, Los Ángeles Malagueños de la Noche, Cudeca, the Ronald McDonald House, the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC), Adimi and Fuensocial are some of the groups with which the Foundation has been working for years. For the president of the organisation from Mijas, Juan Miguel Marcos, there is one project that without a doubt is the biggest one carried out by the organisation so far. “It is the F. Cruz Días-Adimi Centre, our biggest project, it is the most important donation we have made as an association. Since then, we have always collaborated with them on an annual basis. We maintain a close collaboration”, Marcos said.
Among the ambassadors for Idiliq is Hernán Lara, who is also in charge of coordinating the more than 100 volunteers who make up the Foundation, without them the work carried out would be unfeasible. In these 25 years, they have conducted many solidarity campaigns for different groups in the area, but he is particularly fond of the pink tide that takes place in October to benefit the AECC: “The whole team that works here dresses

For her part, Lara Main is also an ambassador for the foundation, as well as being in charge of the entertainment team at the hotel
ITS OBJECTIVE
The IDILIQ Foundation, formerly known as La Fundación Sonrisa, was founded in 1999 with the aim of offering maximum support to groups and individuals in need on the Costa del Sol and Tenerife, thanks to donations and contributions from members, clients and employees.

complex, so her job is to bring fun to all the events they organise. The instructors of Team Marina are the ones who ensure that the guests they receive spend unforgettable days. She assured us that “when we receive visits from associations, especially when there are children and teenagers, we organise a programme of activities using
the facilities of the complex. Aquatics, sports, handicrafts, in short, everything we do here, as we have many activities”.
Idiliq’s work continues because it is made up of people committed to the most vulnerable groups. “I would like the young people who come after us to have the same intention and to take over. We are
Throughout these years, the Foundation has established a commitment to solidarity with citizens by maintaining close collaboration with all types of agents in order to address the social challenges that arise at present.

25th Anniversary
On the occasion of its 25th anniversary, Idiliq will hold a Gala on the 19th of September at the Mediterráneo Restaurant & Pool Terrace at the Wyndham Grand Costa del Sol. The event will bring together associations from all over the province, authorities, media, sponsors, collaborators, company representatives, as well as the ambassadors and volunteers of the Idiliq Foundation.
willing to advise and support those who come to continue this work”, said Hernán Lara, to which Main encouraged “anyone who belongs to the company to come and join the foundation, to become volunteers and thus support this magnificent organisation”.
Finally, Marcos expressed that he hopes “to be able to continue helping for many years and that both the company and the foundation go hand in hand to do good”. Hopefully these wishes will be fulfilled and we can continue to celebrate many more anniversaries of the Idiliq Foundation.

Moreno Bonilla announces
IN MIJAS THAT THE sierra is ready
FOR REFORESTATION
The mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata, reported that the municipality will invest 1,250,000 euros in forestry work aimed at fire prevention
The president of the Junta de Andalucía, Juanma Moreno Bonilla, visited the Sierra de Mijas last week and announced that, after the fire that devastated this natural site in July 2022, the area is now ready for reforestation. “Thanks to the difficult and intense recovery work, the mountain is ready for reforestation. We are obsessed with reforestation because it helps to maintain not only our ecosystem, but also to fight against desertification as a consequence of climate change. That is why we have done it in record time, a procedure that usually takes longer and is more complex but, thanks to the determination and commitment of the Andalusian government, we have put all the means in place to recover the area devastated by the flames as soon as possible”.
Moreno Bonilla recalled that, barely two months after the fire,

Fire prevention
For her part, the mayoress of Mijas, Ana Mata (PP), thanked the president for his visit on the 16th of August and for the ‘enormous’ work carried out by the Junta de Andalucía to recover the Sierra de Mijas. The mayoress announced that from the Town Hall “we are finishing
the drafting of a tender to publish a contract for five years and with a total budget of 1,250,000 euros for the execution of forestry work aimed at fire prevention and which will include, among other actions, work such as clearing, cutting of trees in poor condition... All this preserving the fauna and flora of the mountains”.
This work, which will be carried out in the areas known as Sierra
Blanca and Bermeja, will will be executed during eight months, from October to May, as from the 1st of June to the 15th of October a series of prohibitions are established to prevent fires and, therefore, no action can be taken during this period. Mata pointed out that “an intervention of this type had never been carried out before in the Mijas Town Hall, but, as I have said, this government team is firmly committed to guaranteeing the preservation of the Sierra de Mijas”, to which she added that “the circumstances surrounding the Sierra de Mijas are driving the different administrations to work together and intensely to protect this natural area”.

Likewise, the reports of regular veterinary checks are published on the municipal website with complete transparency, work is being done to modify the sector’s by-laws and a decree has been published limiting the activity in the event of extreme temperatures.
The muleteers reminded us that “the donkeys are in good condition, they have a medical check-up every six months, insurance, vet, everything is in order. The Town Hall requires us to do so”, explained Antonio Jiménez, muleteer.
Representatives of equestrian groups and veterinarians also guaranteed the good condition of the animals.
