ABOUT THE PROJECT

A housing community with shelters for women refugees or migrants and orphan girls, with opportunities for skill development and generating employment by providing a market connecting them with the outside world.

HOUSING BLOCKS

The housing blocks contains 3 blocks which accomodates 63 units of 2bhk and 3 bhk. There are alternate floors of each type of units and each floor has 4 dwelling units. The form development is done in such a manner that there is an easy circulation of wind thriught the structure

MAYEKAA

Mayekaa is a concept for women refugees or migrants facing specific challenges like domestic violence, family seperation or trauma. The form has been divided into two blocks that has been modulated in such a way that there is an interactive courtyard space connecting the two blocks.

NORTH ELEVATION

There are total 29 units of mayekaa . A common hall is given to celebrate various occassions together. A combined yoga room and a skill practice room (in each unit) is given to engage themselves in more productive activities.

CLADDING MATERIALS EAST ELEVATION

SWEET HOME ORPHANAGE

An orphanage for girls in consideration to the scarcity of girl’s orphanage in patiala is designed to accomodate 24 girls. It has various facilities like classroom, liibrary , art room, music room and computer room, required for education of girls.

URBAN CONNECT

Type: Urban Design

Location: Mayur Vihar, Phase-1, Delhi

Year: 2023

ABOUT THE PROJECT

To design an inclusive and social community with enhanced mobility and active engagement of people by improving the usage and interaction in open spaces, separating pedestrian and vehicular paths and providing multi utility zones and by designing a social hub which caters to different age groups, and thus enhances interaction of people.

STREET INTERVENTIONS

Front lanes allow for parking infront of the house, followed by a carriageway of 4m.

Drain covers and pedway on the primary roads.

Bollard lights provided on the edge of cycle track as well as the multi utility zone, to limit the movement of vehicles on the carriageway only.

Elevated pedestrian crossings, connecting the main roads and pedway in back lanes.

Cycle stands provided in the multi utility zones on the primary roads.

FRONT LANE GANGA PRIMARY

Back lanes are paved and decorated with planters to create a vibrant pedestrian walking trail the carriageway only.

A different pavement used for the pedestrian lanes that run continuously through out the site (both in vertical and horizontal direction).

Public sitting provided in the multi utility zones on primary roads to encourage interaction and make the

1.8m cycle track provided on primary roads (ganga and yamuna marg). A crossing provided at the junctions with front lanes.

PARK INTERVENTIONS

1. RESTING PARK-

It has been designed to provide a public resting place. The benches can be used for sitting or lying down, and are arranged along the periphery of the park.

It is a long park, and hence provides good opportunity for a walking trail. Hence, a walking pathway has been designed along the perimeter, with an open gym in the centre. Several instalments and sittings have also been provided.

The desu playground has been divided into two zones: A badminton court with sitting and play area, and Secondly, a playfield.

The centre park has been designed as a large lawn Havingvarious elements like the sensory garden, A water fountain in the centre, gazebos, shaded Sittings and some swings.

4. CHILDREN’S PARKA separate park for children has been designed At the neighbourhood level which has various Swings and play activities for them.

6. CORNER PARKS-

There is a set of two corner parks at the end of each row, one of which is designed for children having play activities for them. The other has sittings for elderls and dog kennels as well. At the cul-de-sacs these two parks are combined to form one large park with a lawn in the centre.

MARKET INTERVENTIONS

CONCEPT-

The DESU Market has been transformed to create a social hub which provides opportunities for recreation as well as active engagement by people. Different activities have been provided to cater to the various age groups and make the space more inclusive. Hierarchy of open spaces and a play of level facilitates interaction among people. Along with a central plaza, a connected back street has also been designed to create a lively ambience. This street connects directly to the desu playground, hence providing a smooth flow. The social hub promotes an inclusive community with provision of universal access and public sitting infrastructure. Thus, the main aim was to achieve an inclusive and interactive community.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

To design a 100 bedded hospital in Dwarka. The aim of the project was to design a hospital with all the facilites required, properly seggregated and yet connected throught the structure.

ABOUT THE PROJECT

Interior design project of a family restaurant on a site of 260sqm. located in a multiplex of Pune.

Rough textured brown matte finish emulsion paint for walls of the sitting area.

Light beige matte finish emulsion paint for walls of the kitchen and washrom.

The style chosen for the projet is a rustic interior which is characterised by its earthy colours, wood textures, greenery, warm ambience, rough textures and finishes.
