Duetto from opera
Voice is Voices
For two coloratura sopranos
Miika Hyytiäinen
Singers take the roles of two human children, Munin and Hugin. We hear them communicate in the language that they have created together in the forest, raised by a bird. The ages and skills of the characters are indicated in the score.
The translation and the binary code of each word is indicated in the score. This may be taken in the consideration in the interpretation of the music, but it should never sound too human or show human emotions.
In the performance, both singers get a click track to their ear and reference tone indicated in the score (partly different for the different singers).
