Relevant Qualification

You must complete a minimum diploma education and care qualification that is published on ACECQA’s NQF approved qualification list. If you do not hold an ACECQA nationally approved diploma level or higher qualification, you will need to have your qualification/s assessed under the NQF.

Experience Requirement

In addition to the qualification, you must demonstrate that you have at least 3 years of fulltime/or part-time equivalent post-qualification experience as a child care centre manager in a regulated early childhood education and care service To ensure the currency of your skills, you must prove that you have at least 6 months full-time/or part-time equivalent experience in the past 3 years

English Requirement

If you do not hold an ACECQA nationally approved diploma level or higher qualification, you would need to take an English test. ACECQA accepts the following as evidence of English language proficiency:

1 year full-time tertiary or higher education level study in Australia, New Zealand, Ireland, Canada, United Kingdom or the United States OR a score of IETLS Academic 7 for both Reading and Writing and a score of IELTS 8 for Speaking and Listening

Subclass 491 – Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa

Although this visa is not permanent, it can lead to a permanent visa (Subclass 191 – Skilled Regional Visa) The Subclass 491 visa allows you to live, work and study in a designated regional area of Australia It is also a points tested visa The minimum points to be eligible to apply is 65 points. Subclass 494 – Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional Visa)

You can apply for subclass 494 if you have a regional employer who is willing to sponsor you. To be eligible for this visa, you must have at least 3 years of working experience in your nominated occupation and have a relevant skills assessment With this visa, there is a requirement that you must work for the employer who is sponsoring you.

Subclass 191 -Permanent Residence Skilled Regional Visa

Subclass 186 – Employer Nomination Scheme Visa
