A group of students at BLS started a green initiative project for their school and contracted Studio G Architects, Inc to design a green roof. The preliminary design included plans for a rooftop garden, vegetative plant trays at selective existing lightwells, rooftop classrooms, a weather station, PV panels and storage facilities. The first phase on the project involving 40 plant trays was completed in the Fall of 2009.
