According to the report “Estado del Odio: Estado LGTBI+ 2025” — State of Hate: LGBTI+ State 2025—, physical and verbal attacks against LGBTI+ people are experiencing a worrying increase, coinciding with the rise of hate speech —Partido Popular, Vox, nuclearly— and a still notably meager institutional response.”

On September 25th and 26th, La Marina Norte in Valencia will once again host an edition of the quintessential concert festival: VISOR Fest. Next to an ideal Mediterranean already by those dates, plus the mild temperatures that will undoubtedly prevail, legendary bands from the 80s and 90s will take to the stage. Friday, Ocean Colours Scene, true nineties band, will perform; they began by adopting classic pop songs structures, combined with decide guitars, which allowed them to showcase a pleiad of virtues of British rock. They are still doing this, to the delight of our pinnae. The first British punk single was released by another band that will be uploading to the VISOR platform, The Damned, real pioneers of the genre in the UK, given that they also released the first punk album and were the first to tour the United States with it as their sonic banner. In Valencia, they'll celebrate their 50th anniversary, undoubtedly playing their unforgettable anthems. But careful, this year they released a new album of intoxicating covers. We will also encounter the "repeaters" New Model Army, one of the most emblematic bands of post-punk. eminently associated with a political commitment that could withstand those Thatcherite socio-economic and cultural bombs so ostensibly devastating in those areas that they denounced without ambiguity. Immune to the possible qualitative losses whith the passage of time, the NMA have never stopped contributing projects of undeniable quality. Completing the first evening of powerful live performances, the Hoodoo Gurus, prophets in their native Australia, as well as epic knights of the rock worldwide. And rightly so, since they have navigated quite successfully between classic garage rock formulas, surf and AM pop, but with the impact of power pop and the crunchy guitars of hard rock. Changing days, the next Saturday the 26th, we continue with the caña de Picanya, this time with the Manic Street Preachers, leading band, whose rock music shakes the most tranquil foundations of British indie rock. Not surprisingly, thanks to Bradfield's wonderful tenor voice, along with their well-known riffs and an obvious social commitment, the Manics have been in the spotlight for almost four decades of undeniable honesty on stages. Although their beginnings were a neo-psychedelic journey, Ride established themselves as one of the flagship bands of the shoegaze style; However, they never hesitated to evolve with other styles and genres, supported by massive and distorted guitars, their direct melodic sensibility and their keen sense of composition.

With Gene, we'll delve into the mythical world of faerie tales and Rossiter's voice, tortured and lonely, as well as Mason's three-chord progressions. Alongside Miles on bass and James on drums, perhaps accompanied by the legendary Mick Talbot on keyboards —just maybe. The mondo and lirondo power pop will be present with The Wannadies, one of the most important pillars of the effervescent Swedish indie scene of the 90s, with their incredibly catchy melodies and energic riffs, miss their "You And Me Song" live... what would it be, people? A sacrilege, dears. So, for super-vitaminize and mineralize, a weekend with VISOR Fest at La Marina Norte in Valencia. In veine!

teve 'n' Seagulls —a play on words resembling the name of American actor Steven Seagal— are neither newcomers nor beginners, they are 5 Finnish musicians, true virtuosos on their respective instruments, which focus —primarily, though not exclusively— on creating bluegrass and newgrass versions blended with Finn folk and rock/metal. In 2025, they released their final album —The Dark Side of the Moo— featuring three new songs, alongside covers of Iron Maiden, Blue Öyster Cult, Kenny Loggins and the Finnish hip-hop group Bomfunk MC's, among others. Naturally, they will present it at their highly anticipated gig at Rock City Teatro Music Live in Valencia, while also including in their setlist those hit tracks that have racked up astronomical streaming numbers across all platforms. Remmel (vocals, acoustic guitar, balalaika, mandolin, anvil —founding member), Herman (Matias Haavisto — banjo, vocals, acoustic guitar; founding member), Hiltunen (Wild Till Hiltunen, accordion, kantele, mandolin, keyboards, flute —founding member), Skubu (drums, percussion, vocals —since 2019), and Luigi (Luis Herrero, bass, vocals — since September 2025), they will liarla parda in a session of sonic syncretism unlike anything you’ve ever experienced, anchored by an irreverent, exultant brand of progressive bluegrass. Catch them on the 23rd of this October. CM 15 | p. 66

roactiv Entertainment has put together a really cool tour for singersongwriter Leo Rizzi. Born in Ibiza, of Uruguayan origin, raised between this country and València — where he studied Fine Arts—, he will present the songs of his new work, "La belleza de las flores" (“The Beauty of Flowers”-Warner Music), along with some of the most emblematic tracks of his career, such as "Amapolas". In the Cap I Casal, Rizzi will arrive on October 25th at the Jerusalem Club; Sita Rizzi —Leo’s sister and an artist whom he also produces— will open the evening.

At the age of 13, Leo began writing her first songs, drawing inspiration from the pop music of the time as well as the Uruguayan and American pop-rock favored by her older sister’s generation, it was
she being the one who inspired him to delve into the world of music and develop him own artistic identity.
From the very beginning, had the support of his family; his parents provided him with a space in their restaurant to perform his songs. During these early performances, he realizes that he truly enjoys music as something more than just a hobby. At the age of 15, his family returned to Spain, where he began recording his own songs, inspired by his interests in the field of personal growth. Driven to address the challenges of adapting to his new life, he travels to India, where he meets the producer who would help him record his first album as a composer and perfor-
mer. Inspired by the thought of philosopher Byung-Chul Han and coproduced with RYO, “La belleza de las flores” champions contemplation and beauty in the face of the accelerated pace of contemporary life. After moving from the city to the countryside to compose it, Leo Rizzi expands his sonic universe with an approach that blends soft pop-rock with guitars, piano, violin, wind arrangements, and instruments such as the sitar and tanpura. Songs like “Nueva Era” and “Corazón hinchado” reflect this.

Recently, Leo has also unveiled new music: "Samba", a track with a warm, organic sound that bridges his Uruguayan roots with Brazilian influences, and "Pecado," a collaboration with the Venezuelan artist and producer Zulia, in which he explores a more intimate, sensual R&B sound. Leo himself

describes his style as "alternative pop with various traces": "I’ve always really liked pop—especially in English—and these days I listen to Argentine rock and soul." This blend stems from his mixed Spanish and Uruguayan heritage, which he believes grants him "an ability to adapt
and a wealth of perspectives as a human being in this world." Rizzi, with his live performances, does not leave anyone indifferent, in a largely firm and positive sense. Ergo of missing out, nastic de plastic, dears.
