Peter Drayton’s Anomaly Series revels in the divergence from the expected, from the vineyard to the glass. Peter’s curiosity, drive and hard-won experience has led him to challenge convention, in cultivating and crafting wines from varieties beyond those that have made the Hunter Valley world famous. Alternative varieties that are carving a niche for themselves, thriving and delivering with quality, consistency and verve.

Classic pear, red delicious apple & savoury spiced notes with a long clean refreshing acid backbone. Terrific texture and palate weight from a little barrel ferment and skin contact. A gorgeous light rose petal with copper hue.

BARBERA

Medium purple. Aromas of strawberry, raspberry, and mulberry. Flavours of fresh cherry, red currants, star anise, subtle tannins and bright acidity. PINOT NOIR SHIRAZ

Dark crimson. Showing floral notes of blueberries and spice, undertones of cassis and dark cherries this is an extremely moreish wine. Elegantly structured, the blend combines the rich earthy tones of Hunter Valley Shiraz with the vibrancy of Pinot Noir. SAPERAVI

Lucious ripe plum, cherry and dark spiced fruit flavours and aromas. Firm tannins and bright acidity.

Ironbark Hill

Home to Peter Drayton Wines at the foot of the Brokenback Range in the heart of the Hunter Valley Wine Country is Ironbark Hill Vineyard, named after the intrinsically Australian eucalyptus trees found on the property. These wines celebrate the Hunter Valley with the boldness and craftsmanship that is synonymous with Peter Drayton.

SEMILLON SAUVIGNON BLANC Bright lime and lemongrass with fresh guava and pineapple on the nose with soft citrus pith and melon on the palate. The wine fresh light and zappy with a clean -cool finish. SEMILLON

Zesty aromas of lime and lemon. Fresh citrus flavours are balanced

by a crisp clean natural acidity on the finish.

SPARKLING SEMILLON CHARDONNAY Our light, lively, refreshing drop of Hunter Valley Semillon Chardonnay is bubbly & delicious, packed with intense flavours and a hint of sweetness.

NOVATO ROSE MERLOT SHIRAZ

There is a real earthiness on the nose with plum fruit and a hint of sweet spice and anise. The palate is open and slows easily through with a subtle tannin and refreshing spice on the finish.

Wildstreak

‘Wildstreak’ celebrates the maverick that is Peter Drayton. A fifth generation descendant of the famed Drayton wine pioneers, Peter has forged his own independent way, embodying the audacious spirit and the adventurous vision of his early pioneering forefathers.

ROSE

Deep cordial red. A delicate nose of strawberries and summer fruits. Strawberry flavours with hints of spice from the saperavi, an easy drinking refreshing wine.

SEMILLON SPARKLING

A delicious sparkling wine made from Semillon and chardonnay grapes.

CABERNET SAUVIGNON

Dense rich red. Luscious blackcurrant, dark chocolate and subtle spice notes. Rich dark fruits are guided by soft silky tannins to a long, fruit-driven finish.

Vibrant gold with a pale green hue. Fresh citrus blossom and

lemon grass notes. Lemon, lime and grassy undertones are supported by a crisp, natural acidity providing a long, zesty finish.

CHARDONNAY

Aromas of peach and nectarine. Rich mouth feel and creamy fruit with barrel ferment and fresh acidity on the finish.

MERLOT SHIRAZ

Deep burgundy with a ruby red hue. Elegant aromas of blackberries and a subtle spice. Dark cherry and red berry notes are guided by soft oak tannins to a long finish. TYRIAN

Dense inky purple. Intense spiced fruit and earthy notes with a subtle mineral note. Powerful ripe blackberry fruit characters are supported by firm tannins and a bright acidity.

Aromas of fresh blueberries and blackcurrant. The palate is medium bodied and fruit driven with savoury plum flavours. Integrated oak and soft silky tannins carry fruit to a long, flavoursome finish.

ABOUT PIG IN THE HOUSE

Pig In The House vineyard is located 20km from Cowra in the beautiful Central Ranges of New South Wales. The vineyard was established in 1996 and is owned and managed by Jason and Rebecca O'Dea. The Pig In The House vineyards are certified organic using Australia’s most widely used and recognized accreditation body Australian Certified Organic. The wines are made to reflect the vineyard, soil and climate with minimal winemaking influence. We want the wines to taste and reflect our place; our region and vineyard.
