WHY SPURGEON?
OUR HISTORY Spurgeon College is located in Kansas City, Missouri, on the campus of Midwestern Baptist Theological Seminary. Beginning undergraduate classes in 2005, we were formally established with the Spurgeon College name in 2018. Our name comes from the most influential Baptist preacher in Christian history, Charles Haddon Spurgeon, whose personal library is housed on our campus.

Every degree at Spurgeon includes a 30-hour biblical core designed to help you know and love the Lord and His Church more.
We believe formation happens best in community. Our Spurgeon College Cohorts are designed to strengthen students’ on-campus experience through enhanced discipleship, focused study, and intentional community. Each cohort gathers regularly for fellowship, discussion related to their field, and to grow in their respective disciplines.
