The Reception
Georgia and Johns reception was set on the other side of the landscaped gardens under a marquee looking out onto the Bago Mountains. While the bridal party went off to take photos the guests enjoyed light refreshments, lawn games and music. Georgia and John wanted the reception to be quite casual and relaxed so they opted to have a banquet style menu provided by local caterers The Golden Roast. Speeches followed dinner with family and friends from near and far telling heart felt stories of their time with the happy couple. John’s family who unfortunately could not be present as
they live in England sent messages of love for the newlyweds that touched and entertained everyone. At the completion of the speeches everyone gathered outside the marquee where a fire was lit and guests were given giant marshmallows to toast over the flames. This also provided the back drop to Georgia and John’s first dance as husband and wife to Vance Joy’s “Georgia”. The rest of the evening was spent dancing around the fire and making amazing memories under the fairy lights.
