Cape May County, NJ has so much to offer, and it has been an alluring destination for vacationers and meeting goers alike for generations.“Cape May County offers unique settings for meetings that can accommodate 10 to as many as 10,000 attendees in one location,” explains Diane Wieland, director of tourism, Cape May County Tourism. “Anyone looking to get away from a corporate center into a setting that can lend itself to the meeting’s mission or simply offer a view away from the traditional should explore the possibilities offered in our premier seaside locations.”

The selection of Cape May County’s meeting properties runs the gamut, and meeting planners can offer their attendees the resort’s natural environment, exciting attractions, and its uniqueness – all of which provide value along with vacation amenities – adding up to much more than mere meeting space.

When it comes to meeting and convention venues, however, Cape May County has great options. Conventions centers in both the Wildwoods and in Cape May are situated right along the beachfront, giving attendees the opportunity to enjoy ocean views at both facilities, and allowing them to incorporate the beach environment into the day’s activities.

“The Wildwoods Convention Center is a modern, multipurpose 260,000-square foot facility located on the Wildwoods boardwalk overlooking the city’s mammoth beachfront,” notes Wieland. The convention center offers spectacular beach, boardwalk and ocean views and access, and features an award-winning culinary team, a host of services, plenty of natural light, and a wide variety of flexible spaces for hosting meetings, sporting events, competitions, trade shows and conventions both large and small.

"Cape May Convention Hall is situated directly on the beach offering a wraparound deck and a multi-purpose atrium with an unparalleled view of the beach and the ocean,” says Wieland. “The 20,000-square foot facility features two event halls, a catering kitchen, and a meeting room.”

The Historic Landmark City of Cape May is pedestrianand cyclist-friendly, and the layout of the town makes it an attractive alternative to busy urban areas. The nation’s oldest seaside resort is known for its charming bed-and-breakfast inns, some of which can host small meetings. One example is Congress Hall in Cape May, a historic hotel that once served as the summer White House to U.S. Presidents. Congress Hall has meeting
