Water Co.: Water Safe, Despite Appearance

By Chris Lundy BERKELEY – Aqua New Jersey is assuring customers that the water is safe to drink amid concerns that it has a strange smell or taste.

Residents have been complaining that the water is discolored, and that it gives off a smell. Some people have even shared on social media that their mouth tastes like rust and have been getting sore throats.

By Jennifer Peacock BEACHWOOD – The Beachwood Police Department is mourning the death of retired Ch ief of Police John C. Moody. He was surrounded by family when he passed f rom cancer May 28. The department reported he was out of state. “On behalf of Chief Robert Tapp and the members of the Beachwood Police Department our thoughts and prayers are with the entire Moody family,” Beachwood Police said in a statement via social media. Moody joined the Beachwood Police Department in 1958. He served in the U.S. Army for two years, then returned to the department and served until the late 1990s. He served as Chief of Police for 35 years. He retired in February 1997. Moody was a graduate and past president of the FBI National Academy. He was a life member of the NJ State Association of Chiefs of Police, and

Experts: These Are The Barriers To Solving Opioid Crisis

By Chris Lundy TOMS RIVER – A Town Hall-style meeting of people on the front lines of the opioid epidemic was held recently. The goal: to identify the roadblocks to solving the crisis.

primary election. Glen Kelly had not officially challenged Mayor Ron Roma, meaning that his name wasn’t on the ballot. Kelly had
