Ocean County Prosecutor’s Legacy Is Saving Lives

By Chris Lundy BERKELEY – What happens when the person who responds in times of medical emergencies needs help? What happens when they have a medical emergency as well? In this case, the community comes together to help. Megan Franzoso, 28, of the Berkeley Township EMS went into cardiac arrest for 45 minutes on Sept. 14. She remains on life support. The community has responded, raising more than $20,000 in a GoFundMe for her. It can be found at gofundme.com/megan039s-first-aid. According to the GoFundMe, started by her uncle, Brian Geoghegan, she began volunteering when she was 16, and serves as an EMT now. Her family is now struggling with her medical bills, expected to be quite large. This weekend, there will be a car show held on Sept. 29, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., at Veterans
