Greetings Future World-Changers! Welcome to The Quad! The Quad is designed to assist in your life-changing pursuit of higher education. Your decision to attend college is an important first step and there are many more to follow. We want to help you navigate through the process. Earning a college degree can help you help yourself. It can help you earn a better living as well as help you move up the career ladder. As long as you live, you can learn. Age doesn’t matter. You are never too old to learn. Whether you are graduating from high school or you’re over 40, you can learn. You don’t have to go far, because the community serves you. There are educational institutions right in our community. In this issue of The Quad, we provide information and messaging from those colleges and universities to get you started thinking about which may work for you and your path. We also include tips and information for testing, applying, good study habits, funding, campus visits, college life unique to commuter campuses and resources. Albert Einstein said, “Education is not the learning of facts, but the training of the mind to think.” To bring it on home, B.B. King said, “The beautiful thing about learning is nobody can take it away from you.” EDUCATION …IS WHAT MATTERS. Open your mind to a new world and pathway. Let us equip you and enjoy your journey.

TOOK HER FROM STORYTELLING
TO STORY CHANGING Tirrea Billings wasn’t thinking of red carpets or little gold statues when she started making films. She simply hoped to reveal the extraordinary beauty and truth of everyday lives. To help others share their unique perspectives. She faced her share of setbacks, but with adaptability and determination, Tirrea has written her own story of success. Now, she runs her own multimedia company and is making award-winning films that make a difference.
