Harrisville is home to a wide range of fairs, festivals, events and concerts. Harbor Park hosts an annual summer concert series with live music in July and August. Events such as the Alcona County Fair, Sunrise Food and Wine Festival, and Christmas in the Village occur annually. The Harmony Weekend Arts & Crafts Festival is held the Saturday and Sunday preceding Labor Day where over 300 exhibitors display their wares on the grounds of the courthouse.

Outdoor Activities

Alcona County is on the edge of Huron National Forest, which offers outdoor recreational opportunities such as hunting, swimming, crosscountry skiing and trout fishing. The forest contains 330 miles (530 km) of hiking trails. The Great Lakes offer one of the most important fishing resources in North America, and Lake Huron is easily accessible. Smallmouth bass, yellow perch and walleye often can be caught close to shore. Outdoorsman from across the state make these northern woods their destination for hunting.
